Sustainable Hill Farms is developing services that promote reuse and sustainability and build community.
We encourage you to join us. Let's talk if you are interested in working on any of these initiatives or want to suggest others.

Other Initiatives
This is a proposed focus for 2027. Sustainable Hill Farms is investigating the role we might play in making Hill Farms a Lights Out neighborhood and Madison a Lights Out city. Lights Out programs are initiatives designed to reduce artificial light pollution during peak bird migration season. Because many birds migrate at night using the stars and moon for navigation, bright city lights can disorient them causing fatal collision with buildings. Participants turn off or dim non-essential exterior and interior lighting from late evening through dawn.
We don’t each need to own a post-hole digger, tile saw. or soldering iron.
Rather than buying and storing it or paying home depot for the rental, we can share.
